Basidia ellipsoid to clavate, longitudinally sepate, two to four spored. Hyphal system monomitic, hyphae 2 to 3 µm wide, hymenial hyphae thin walled, sparsely septate with clamps, basal hyphae thick walled, sinuous. Cystidia not present. Edibility Inedible Notes This species is easily recognised by the colour and presence of widely separated spines. Unfortunately I was unable to get any spores from the 2022 collection.
